Note:
1- Visa requirements are subjected to change without notice.

2- Incomplete applications will be immediately returned to sender.

3- No information regarding status of visa applications will be given either by phone or e-mail during the processing period.

To enter Brazil, any foreigner must have a passport, an international vaccination certificate (if applicable) and a visa issued by a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. The visa, even when granted, represents only an expectation of the right to enter the country. All visas are issued individually. If more than one traveler is in the same passport, the Embassy will issue separate visas for each of them. Brazilian law does not allow group visas.

The passport must be valid for at least 6 months prior to its expiration date and it will be retained by this Embassy during the process period. It must have at least two blank pages available.

Photographs must be recent, passport size, in color or black and white, front view. Snapshots are not accepted.

Visa will be issued on a "laissez-passer" to nationals of Bhutan and Taiwan.

Application forms for minors must be signed by both parents. If sent by mail, signatures must be notarized. Minors (under 18) not traveling with both parents or legal guardian(s) must provide a notarized letter of consent signed by the non-accompanying parent(s) or guardian(s), together with payment to enable the letter and, if applicable, guardianship document (proof of guardianship is required) to be authenticated by the Embassy.

Processing time: a minimum of EIGHT (8) WORKING DAYS are required for the visa to be issued, upon presentation of the proper documents at the visa counter. Incomplete or improperly completed applications will cause delay and/or denial of the required visa. At least ELEVEN business days are required for a tourist or business visas submitted by mail or courier.

Visa holders must arrive in Brazil within 90 days from the date of issue of their visas.

Tourist and business visas are generally valid for 90 days from the first entry, renewable for another period of up to 90 days by the Brazilian Federal Police. With each entry, the visa holder is granted a stay of 90 days,
