    Director Business & ICT Development

    David Mugambi is the Director of Business Development of the Konza Technopolis Development Authority (KoTDA), which is mandated by the Government of Kenya to implement the Konza Technopolis project. Before joining KoTDA, Mr. Mugambi was a Senior Investment Promotion Officer with the Kenya Investment Authority responsible for attracting investments to Kenya and identifying investment opportunities. He was at the Authority for 10 years.

  • Dr. (Eng.) Joseph Siror

    PhD - General Manager, Technical Services

    Dr. Siror has a BSc Electrical Engineering and MBA from the University of Nairobi and a PhD in Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China majoring in RFID, a key technology for intelligent systems.

    He previously worked as:
    • The Director Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication at the National Economic and Social Council (NESC),
    • Senior Assistant Commissioner at the Kenya Revenue Authority where he spearheaded several infrastructure and technology projects including the X-ray Cargo Scanning for non-intrusive inspection of cargo at Kilindini Port and Electronic Cargo Tracking System for tracking transit cargo.
    • Kenya Posts and Telecommunications Corporation where he was part of the team that were trained in the U.K. for introduction and rollout of Digital Leased lines in the country.
    He also worked with Firestone in 1969.

    He is a member of IEEE, a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and a corporate member of IEK.

    The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a NON-PROFIT autonomous, private sector institution and membership based organization. It was established in 1965 from the amalgamation of the then three existing Chambers of Commerce: the Asian,African and European Chambers, to protect and develop the interests of the business community in Kenya.

    Program Director, Minigrids and Renewable Energy

    Sayan Chakraborti is a Program Director, Minigrids and Renewable Energy specializing in program management of large energy and environmental projects, including the leadership of MRIGlobal's minigrid business area. He has bachelors and master's degrees in chemical engineering, an M.B.A., and 25 years of technical, business, and program management experience in a variety of energy, and environmental engineering and construction projects for both US government and industrial clients. During the course of his career, Mr. Chakraborti has managed many multimillion dollar multi-contractor projects in the US, India, China, and the Middle East.

    Mr. Shah Nawaz Ahmad is currently Senior Adviser, India Middle East and South-East Asia, World Nuclear Association (WNA), London. He is a graduate in Electrical Engineering and has post-graduate qualifications in Nuclear Engineering as well as in Systems Management. Mr. Ahmad has over 50 years' hand-on experience in the nuclear power sector. He has worked, at national & international levels, in the areas of Policy & Planning, Management, Safety, Design, EPC contracting & Construction, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Supply Chain, Public Awareness, Training, Business Development and International Co-operation. Mr. Ahmad has held senior positions with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), & World Association of Nuclear Operators, (WANO) Tokyo. He has also worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd (AECL) & the Indian Atomic Industrial Forum (IAIF).

    Javier is the one who is passionate about science and renewable energies and that has developed the Power Spot generators. He holds a PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. Powerspot born as a disruptive technology to solve the energy needs anywhere in the world. All the products have been developed to meet the objective of providing sufficient to charge personal devices such as phones, smart phones, tablets, offer charging batteries and rechargeable batteries and light bulbs up to 20 with a single generator power.

  • FCPA Fernandes Barasa

    Managing Director & CEO, KETRACO

    FCPA Fernandes Barasa is the Managing Director & CEO of the The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited. Barasa has served as Acting Managing Director & CEO since 1st August, 2015. Before that acting appointment, he was the Company's Chief Manager, Finance and Accounts. Prior to joining KETRACO, FCPA Barasa served as the Treasury Manager and later Head of Factories Accounts at the Kenya Tea Development Agency Limited (KTDA). He also worked for Kenya Airways and East Africa Re in senior management positions.

    Tina Nduta is a Mining & Energy Consultant. She is the Founder of East Africa Extractives Network a Nairobi based Consulting Firm that is focused on Building Capacity for East Africa’s Extractive Industry. Tina is also a Co- founder of Kerende Gold Exploration Limited; a Tanzanian based Junior Gold Exploration Company. East Africa Extractives Network has created a Free Online Information resource Centre with Data & Publications giving Insights in Resource development and Market Opportunities in East Africa’s Oil & Gas, Mining and Renewable Energy.
