The Expo Madagascar ' 08 -International Trade Exhibition to be held in May 2008 is all set to present over 10,000 products, equipment and machinery from over 30 countries.Trade visitors from all over South & Central African countries are being invited dirtectly and in collaboration with several regional trade bodies in Madagascar, South Africa, Mozambique & Zaire. Though Madagascar by itself is one of the biggest markets in Africa, major emphasis is being laid  upon attracting  traders and importers from  neighbouring countries. In 2007, imports of the country rose to over US$ 2 billion, thus making it a very attractive market for foreign exporters.
