KENYA EXPORTS TO UGANDA UP FOR FIRST TIME IN 4 YEARS

Kenya’s exports to Uganda have grown for the first time in four years over the seven months to July amid a political storm over the countries’ bilateral trade. Canadian firm SkyPower to revitalize solar market in Kenya

Canadian solar firm SkyPower has announced plans to invest  US$ 4.4bn in a bid to boost solar market in Kenya over the next five years. Dangote to commission newly constructed cement plant in Tanzania

Nigeria’s NNPC secures US$1.2bn funding for drilling

 The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has secured a US$1.2bn multi-year drilling financing package. The money will be used for 36 oil wells under the NNPC and Chevron Nigeria joint venture, according to a statement by Ohi Alegbe, general manager of group public affairs division at NNPC. Uganda planning to open up more oil basins
