Shinyanga — A firm has donated and installed solar panels worth Sh75.88 million at Buhangija Centre for children living with albinism

Speaking to The Citizen on Wednesday, CSI Electrical Limited official Joan Kahwa, said the donation was part of the firm's community support programme.

Ms Kahwa said "In a move to reduce the electricity bills significantly, we felt that there was an urgent need to improve security around the centre, especially at night and during power cuts, by installing solar panels," she said.

Shinyanga District Commissioner Josephine Matiro who over saw the installation of the equipment said the installation would not only improve security, but also reduce electricity bills.

CSI Electrical is dedicated to collaborating with other institutions and stakeholders in extending their support as they strive to further improve children's welfare. CSI thanked the Tanzania Albinism Society (TAS) and the government for their support.
