Kenya: American Firms Told to Bid for Energy Projects

Dangote Cement set to expand production plants

Dangote Cement Plc plans to expand its cement production plants to Africa, Middle East and Latin American countries. Nigeria seals $17m water construction deal with China s CGC

Louis Berger to oversee Yaounde-Douala highway segment construction in Cameroon

Louis Berger, a $1 billion global professional services corporation, has recently signed a five-year project management contract financed by local funds for the construction of the first segment of the Yaoundé-Douala highway in Cameroon. PET Recycling Plant worth US $33.06m in Gauteng, South Africa.

Plastic Packaging manufacturer and recycler Mpact has signed an agreement with Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) to construct a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling plant worth US $33.06m in Gauteng, South Africa.   This announcement was made by the company recently when it was releasing its financial results for the past six months ended June 30.   Commissioning of the new recycling plant is expected to take place in the second half of 2015 and Mpact.... South Africa to let solar power plants worth $197m

An Italian company called TerniEnergia has won a contract to engineer, procure and construct two solar power plants in South Africa.   The installed capacity of the plants will be 148.5MW.  A 66MW plant will be built at the Tom Burke solar plant, located near the northern boarder with Botswana, and a 82.5 MW plant will be based in Paleisheuwel in the south-west, 190km from Cape Town.   The contract has to be closed by the South African government before.... Kenya woos investors to regain pyrethrum top spot
