To solve long-standing water shortages in 31 villages in the lowland plains of Rombo District, Kilimanjaro Region, the government has set aside 9.3 billion/- for the implementation of a significant water project.
According to Prof. Mkenda, all project plans have been completed, and the required funding has been obtained.
"This project demonstrates the dedication of the sixth phase administration, led by President Samia Suluhu Hassan, to guarantee that all citizens, including those in Rombo, have access to safe and clean water," he continued.
Residents of the lowland communities, who have long suffered from a lack of access to clean water, have greeted the announcement with excitement.
The contractor will start implementation as soon as it is finished, and we are optimistic that the project will be finished on time, said Eng Joseph.
