Remote Village to Become First Fully Solar Powered in Tanzania

Mara — Manila, a remote village in Rorya District, Mara Region has never had electricity for more than 40 years.

Iconic Ford Mustang Ponies Up In Kenya’s Right-Hand-Drive Market

 Kenya is the second country in Africa after South Africa where Ford Mustangs will be available now that Ford has begun producing a right-hand drive version at its assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, U.S.A.

Chinese firm to build pharmaceutical plant in Ethiopia

 A cornerstone-laying ceremony was conducted on Tuesday to establish a Chinese-invested pharmaceutical plant in Dukem town, about 40 km south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's capital.

Swala Tanzania seeks $120m to fund oil exploration in East Africa

 Swala Oil & Gas (Tanzania) has engaged Exotix Partners to raise $120 million in corporate bonds for funding expansion in East Africa.

 
The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange-listed firm recently acquired oil exploration interests in Burundi from Surestream Petroleum Ltd of Britain and intends to venture into other parts of Africa.
