Kenya sets Ksh 3B for compiling geological map

The Ministry of Mining has received Ksh 3 billion from the government to compile a new geological map detailing available pockets of minerals and their quantities.

Only 4 per cent of Kenya’s minerals have been located and mined, according to official estimates from the ministry, prompting the need for a clear study to inform prospective investments.

Kenya: Japan and Kenya Sign Sh27.3 Billion Deal to Build Dongo Kundu Hub

Kenya has secured Sh27.3 billion from Japan to construct an industrial and commercial hub in Dongo Kundu, Mombasa.

The first phase of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which is expected to alter the coastal town in terms of infrastructure and business, is scheduled to be ready by 2019.

Tanzania: Council Releases Sh15.7 Millon to Empower Women and Youth

Korogwe — Loans amounting to Sh15.7 million have been issued to income-generating groups run by women and youth in the district.

The funds are an accumulation of internal revenues generated by the local authorities between July and August this year said district executive director Jumanne Shauri while handing over cheques to the beneficiaries over the weekend.

Tanzania: Kibaha's Malaria Biological Pesticide Plant Gets 4 Billion/ - Capital Boost

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has advanced a loan of 2.1 million US dollar (over 4.0bn/-) to the Tanzania Biotech Product in Kibaha, Coast Region.

Pretoria Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies on Friday announced the biggest automotive investment in Africa in the last 40 years.
