South Africa’s mining company, Royal Bafokeng Platinum will, in the next five years, invest over US$250m to complete Phase two of the employee housing development scheme for its workers. The company will, during the Phase two of the project, construct 3100 housing units. The project’s approval was announced last week. The project will be undertaken in the next five years.

Two new hospitals are set to be constructed in Sofala Province, Mozambique at a cost of US$ 30m. This follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Dutch, French and Mozambican governments.

Refurbishment and renovation of Kamembe Airport in Western Province of Rwanda, is set to start off this November. The renovations are set to help decongest the facility and accommodate big aircrafts, according to The Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) communications manager, Tony Barigye.

Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) has, from last week, invited eligible international firms to express their interest in the expansion and renovation of the current Roberts International Airport (RIA), into a state-of-the-art airport facility. This will help handle the number of passengers at the airport, expected to grow to at least 450, 000 in coming years, as projected by LAA.

Tanzania government has signed a US$ 550m concessional loan agreement with the Chinese Government for construction of 12,000 new housing units for the country’s military. The houses are going to be constructed at various towns and cities in Tanzania.
