As part of its COVID-19 response in Tanzania, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking funds in the amount of US$882,841.

Kenya's horticulture export revenues increased by 6.4 percent to Ksh 8.7 billion (US$77 million) in the 11 months to November 2021, owing to increased demand for Kenyan produce on the global market as export destinations continue to relax in Covid-19 stipulations.
Kenya earned Ksh145.4 billion (US$1.29 billion) for the period under review, up from Ksh136.7 billion (US$1.2 billion) the previous year, according to the Horticultural Crops Directorate.

The economic recovery is gaining momentum as Tanzania has recorded an increase in exports of goods and services, as well as the provision of loans to finance economic activities by the private sector.

Tanzanian President Samia Hassan inaugurated the 1st phase of Egypt's Elsewedy Industrial Complex in Tanzania, which includes investments totalling $35 million, Elsewedy Electric said in a statement on 6th Dec 2021.

Power Producer Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) will manage the Sh13. 5 billion Garissa solar power plant built by the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC).
