SacOil Signs Agreement for Gas Pipeline From Mozambique to Gauteng

SacOil has signed a cooperation agreement that will result in the construction of an estimated $6bn, 2 600km, large-diameter pipeline to transport natural gas from Mozambique's Rovuma Basin to Gauteng.

Part of the consortium entering the deal with SacOil is the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, a Chinese and international pipeline construction company.

Sugar Production set to Increase in Tanzania

Moshi — The Tanganyika Planting Company (TPC) plans to expand its sugar production factory from 95,000 tonnes per season at present to 110,000 tonnes in the near future.

Swiss International Hotels Chain Makes Entry Into Rwanda

The number of international hotel chains in the country has grown further this week following the entrance into the local market of Swiss International Hotels.

The international hotel group on Tuesday took over the management of Villa Portofino Hotel, located in Nyarutarama.

Open Skies Agreement signed between Rwanda & Ethiopia

East Africa: Rwanda, Ethiopia Sign Open Skies Agreement.Rwanda and Ethiopia have signed an air service agreement, where the two countries agreed to open their airspace allowing their national carriers to operate without restrictions.

According to the agreement, signed between the Rwanda Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA) and Ethiopia Civil Aviation Authority, all air service operations will be conducted under the fifth freedom arrangement.

Construction begins on US$ 14m water project in Tanzania

Tanzania is constructing a US$ 14m water project plant in Sumbawanga Municipality in Rukwa region. The water project in Tanzania is aimed at improving water sanitation services in the area.
