Food, hospitality and agriculture is one of the most important sectors of the African economy and is expected to be the driving force behind the alleviation of the continent’s poverty. It accounts for 65% of the continent’s employment and 75% of its domestic trade. The economies of most African countries are growing faster than anywhere else in the world and agriculture, which accounts for a third of Africa’s GDP, is poised to be the next step in the development of the region.
FOODAGRO AFRICA, Africa’s largest food, hospitality and agriculture exhibition, closed its door in July 2016 recording a further increase in the level of internationality on both the exhibitors and visitors side.
