Kenya: Eastern Bypass, Kangundo Road Link to Be Tarmacked

Posted on :Saturday , 7th November 2015

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero yesterday announced City Hall will complete tarmacking the road linking Kangundo road to the Eastern bypass in a few months.

The road runs from the Administration Police Training College gate in Embakasi and joins Kangundo Road near Njiru market.

The road is tarmacked halfway as the contractor pulled out due to nonpayment by the now-defunct City Council of Nairobi.

Speaking to residents of Mihango during a fundraiser for St Catherine ACK Church, Kidero said funds will be allocated to ensure completion of the project.

He said he will end the drugs shortage in clinics.

The governor said the county is working to ensure public schools are well equipped so they can compete with private ones.

Embakasi East MP John Ogutu Omondi and Mihango MCA Paul Kados appealed to Kidero to hold more fundraisers in Nairobi instead of going to other counties.

Kados said the county needs the governor.
