Isuzu East Africa is back on the Tanzanian market with the introduction of a dealership run by its new distributor—Al Mansour Auto EA (Tanzania) Limited.

The Japanese vehicle manufacturer, initially represented in Tanzania by Quality Motors Limited, are lacking from the market for three years.

"We are thrilled to re-establish our occurrence in Tanzania through our dealer Al Mansour Auto Limited," Rita Kavashe, Chief Executive Officer of Isuzu, said it in a statement.

"Working with Al Mansour, our long-term goal is to meet our customer requirements by introducing unique transport solutions and robust after-sales value as a reliable logistics partner."

Al Mansour has funded about $1 million (Sh110 million) to set up a business in Dar es Salaam, which has begun to sell the Japanese automaker's range of commercial vehicles, such as trucks and pick-ups.

Mr Ankush Arora, Chief Operating Officer of Al Mansour Group, said that the dealership will benefit from the popularity of the Isuzu brand in the East African region, where it accounts for more than 40% of new vehicle sales.

Buyers of Isuzu vehicles are engaged in a variety of economic sectors, including education, agriculture, construction, public transport and security.
