Dangote Cement Plc plans to expand its cement production plants to Africa, Middle East and Latin American countries. The company hopes that it will, through the planned investment, rank among the top ten global cement manufacturers and also help Nigeria to earn foreign exchange.

Nigeria’s Cross River State has signed a $17 million contract for the construction of Ogoja Water scheme with a Chinese firm CGC.The State Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr. Etowa Elemi, signed the contract on behalf of the state government while the Managing Director of CGC Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ye Sejiun, signed on behalf of the Chinese company.

Louis Berger, a $1 billion global professional services corporation, has recently signed a five-year project management contract financed by local funds for the construction of the first segment of the Yaoundé-Douala highway in Cameroon.
