  • East Africa gets new cement plant

     A 600,000 tonne capacity Cimerwa Cement plant has been inaugurated in Rwanda at the cost of US$170mn

    The plant has been built in the Muganza sector of the Rusizi district in western Rwanda.
    With the current cement demand being 450,000 tonnes annually, the new plant is expected to cater to the growing demand. Surplus will be exported to neighb. . .

  • Germany funds Infrastucture construction in Tanzania

     The Federal Republic of Germany is planning to help Tanzania to construct the Southern Serengeti bypass Road.

     
    President Jakaya Kikwete renewed his support for Serengeti bybass road through the northern portion of the park to link Mto wa Mbu, southeast of Ngorongoro Crater, and Musoma on Lake Victoria In July 2010.

  • Kuwait invest in the infrastucture development in Tanzania

     Tanzanian president Jakaya Kikwete has opened a ‘key road in Tanzania whose construction was sponsored by Kuwait government’s Fund for Arab Economic Development.

     
    During the opening ceremony of marking the main road in Tanzania Mr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete expressed his gratitude to Kuwait for road infrastructure support.

    ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Industrial Projects Service (IPS), a state-owned consultant has won a contract from Messebo Cement to conduct an assessment of the cement market around Addis Ababa.
