The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), has presented a cheque of $4.5 million to the Sickle Cell Foundation, towards the construction of a Centre of Excellence for Sickle Cell Treatment and Research at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is set to unveil a new, community-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre in Daveyton.
