South Africa‘s Mediclinic Intl has agreed to buy United Arab Emirates’ Al Noor Hospitals Group for around 1.4 billion pounds ($2.2 billion), gaining the upper hand on rival NMC Health in a tussle for expansion in the fast growing Gulf region.
The deal will double the South African group’s presence in the UAE, further diversifying out of its slow growing home mar. . .

The European Union (EU) has pledged 540 million Euros to boost road construction in Ethiopia especially in rural areas for the next five years.

Construction firm Dorra Group has announced plans to construct 10,000 residential houses in Egypt in a bid to tackle the current demand for housing in the country.
Managing director Omar Dorra said they intend to target the youth in their housing projectl.
