Tanzania hopes to triple its power generation output by 2020

Tanzania has abundant energy resources such as hydro, natural gas, coal, uranium, wind, geothermal, biomass, solar, tidal and waves and the demand is equally high. So this demand is attracting suppliers to tap this market and expand to an ever so growing market, with the help of the 03rd Power and Energy Tanzania Exhibition it will make it easier for companies around the world to do so.

According to new reforms The African Development Bank (AFDB) has unveiled plans to invest $12 billion over the next five years under its new electrification programme.
The fund will support its New Deal on energy for Africa which aims to achieve universal access to Africa by 2025.The plan was born out of the Energy Week conference held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast in March which brought stakeholders together to discuss methods of improving energy access.

Tanzania hopes to triple its power generation output by 2020, and boost access to the national grid. This shows the potential in the market and how the Government is also investing towards the growth of this sector.

From August 16th – 18th Expo Group will bring to you the 03rd Power and Energy Tanzania 2017 where more than 150 exhibitors from 22 countries will showcase their latest wares to thousands of trade buyers and decision makers from throughout the Middle East, Africa, and further afield.
